“For never was a story of more woe than this of Juliet and her Romeo.” – William Shakespeare

Ballet Manila stages the Asian premiere of Paul Vasterling’s choreography of one of classical ballet’s  most popular pieces and the greatest love story ever told. Vasterling’s version is loosely based on the modern influences of The West Side Story and Franco Zeffirelli’s famous movie adaptation of Romeo & Juliet; and is set to Prokofiev’s heartfelt score. Vasterling is the Artistic Director and CEO of Nashville Ballet USA.

This version of the timeless story of young, tragic love is sure to enthrall with its highly physical choreography, action-packed fight scenes, and theatrical nuances.
The Manila Symphony Orchestra accompanies under the baton of Maestro Alexander Vikulov of the Mariinsky Theater .
